| A
number of facilities are available to resident students. These include
telephone services, cable television, and data services. Below you
will find further information and links covering each of these topics.
Cable Television - All rooms
have a cable TV connection which provides a wide range of channels.
This is provided as part of your room rate and is active immediately
upon your arrival -- you don't need to request that the service
be activated or deactivated.
Madison residents are serviced by Cablevision of Morris. Program
listings are available from services such as TV
Guide and Gist.
Residents may also contact Cablevision directly for premium channels
and PPV events. Their number is 973-884-0027. Channel 80 is a
special "FDU Bulletin Board" channel that is used to
provide information about events occurring on campus and is also
used to broadcast special events.
Teaneck residents have Magnavision satellite cable, which includes
news, weather, education, and entertainment channels.
Data Services - Residents can
access many of the facilities available in the computer labs from
the convenience of their rooms. Every room is equipped with one
data jack (one per bed in the new Madison residence hall) which
provides internet access many times faster than a traditional
modem. For more information, view the following documents:
