Call 911 If An Emergency Arises

Campus Emergency

If there is a Campus Emergency dial Public Safety. Just dial 66 and you will be connected immediately. Public Safety is there to help protect you. Do not use this number as an information directory.

The following procedures should be followed if you receive a THREATENING OR HARASSING PHONE CALL:

After receiving the phone call, hang up.
Immediately pick up the handset.
Listen for dial tone.
Dial 107.
You will hear a confirmation tone or message.
Hang up your telephone.
Record the date, time and details of phone call.
Call Public Safety at extension 2222 for Teaneck or, extension 8888 for Madison.
File a written report on the call.

If the call is threatening, the complaint will be handled immediately and the local police will be notified. If there are any questions regarding threatening or harassing phone calls, please contact the Department of Public Safety.

Access your university mailbox. The first message that you hear will be weather related.

If you do not have voicemail on this system, dial the appropriate campus number above and when prompted for a mailbox number, dial 411, you will receive weather related information.

If you are involved in a telephone chain and the individual you call is unavailable, leave a message and call the next person on the chain.
